Salsa term: Güira (Musical instrument)

A concave rhythm instrument built made of metal (like Güiro). The Güira (cucumber) is played with a metal comb on the riffled surface ? top down and/or reverse. It creates a specific noice. It comes from the Domenican Republic and will be used within the »Merengue and »Bachata.
